Ephesians 6:13-14

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, TO STAND. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about WITH TRUTH, and having on the breastplate of righteousness.

THE TENANTS OF COMMUNISM vs THE BIBLE

As Christian, I'm not a fan of communism. I'll just be honest. And while I still have the freedom of speech in America to say that, I'm going to express it and explain why I say it. For as I study communism, I find one thing, IT IS VERY MUCH AGAINST THE BIBLE!
THE FOUNDATION OF COMMUNISM:
Communists and those who follow its teaching are adamant to point out that Karl Marx used the Bible as the foundation of his political utopia. For they claim Marx used Acts 2:44 and 45 as the basic principle of communism:
Acts 2:44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
Acts 2:45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
Having all things in "common," they stress, is very important and is what communism is all about, as people's needs are met and everyone shares in the same thing.
However, they fail to read the context, which is very important. Let's look at those verses in context with the verses before and after them:
Acts 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Acts 2:43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
Acts 2:44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
Acts 2:45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
Acts 2:46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
First, we see this was a common bond between CHRISTIANS and not a political system forced upon them by a secular government! Secondly, those who had all things in common were in the TEMPLE, which means they were religious and they PRAISED GOD! No communist country on earth allows individuals the freedom to worship God! Under modern communism, the state is god.
Finally, verse 47 talks about individual SALVATION of the soul, and people being added to the CHURCH. This is quite foreign to communism, which is about "collective salvation" or physical salvation of the masses, and not the individual salvation of the soul spiritually.
Communists who brag about communism being based in the Bible in order to make it appeal to religious people, don't always state these simple facts.
And as you study communism as Marx set it up, you see it has NOTHING TO DO WHATSOEVER WITH GOD, or the CHURCH, or SALVATION OF THE SOULS, or PRAISING GOD!
Even though Marx might have read some verses in the Bible that made him think up a utopian political society, he forgot the most important thing. HE FORGOT GOD!
THE TENANTS OF COMMUNISM:
On Wikipedia, we find the ten main points of Communism as Marx defined them. They are:
1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3. Abolition of all right of inheritance.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5. Centralisation of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
6. Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
8. Equal liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equitable distibution of the population over the country.
10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production.
As you read each one of these, it's easy to see these most certainly are NOT rooted and grounded in the word of God. If anything, they are very foreign to it, as we'll see.
1. Abolition of private property and rent on land.
In the Bible, we don't see God doing away with private property or making people pay rent for what is already theirs. When God threw Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden in Genesis chapter three, we see him setting up Cherubims with flaming swords (Gen. 3:24) to guard what was his. This shows God believes in ownership of private property and the right to defend what's yours! Later in the Bible we read of God giving land to Abraham, and telling him it was his! For in Genesis Gen 13:15, we read God's words to Abraham, "For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I GIVE it..." Notice God doesn't say, "...I will RENT it!"
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
In the Bible there is no heavy tax commanded by God to give to a secular government. Instead we find God asking for a tithe (10%), which was to be given to Him via the Temple. It was indeed a tax on one's income, but it was also a tax that was not heavy nor progressive. It was a tax to help a religious organization that honored him, and not a secular organization that did not.
3. Abolition of all right of inheritance.
God would not agree with this at all. For in Gen. 12:7 we find God talking to Abraham and not only promising him the land, but promising it to his SEED! All throughout the Bible we see the father dying and leaving his goods, land, and money to his children. And in 2 Cor. 12:14 we are instructed, "...For the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children."
Truly the right for a man to leave his children an inheritance is a God-given right! Why then would Marx want to do away with it? Unless, he wants the inheritance to go to the state instead.
4. Confiscation of the property of emigrants and rebels.
This makes it sound like you have to be subservient to the state and do what they say or they will come and take away your property. Besides this, the word "confiscate" is just a different way of saying "stealing."
The Bible is very different than Marx here. In the Bible we read: "Thou shalt not steal!" (Exod. 20:15) Further God commands the following in Exodus 23:9, "...Thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt." And again in Lev 19:13, we read, "Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him..."
5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the state...a national bank.
In the Bible, there are no banks. People had money and kept it on them or hidden somewhere. There was lending though, and it was not done by a bank, but by a friend or neighbor. And God gave strict rules for lending someone something on credit: "If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury. If thou at all take thy neighbour's raiment to pledge, thou shalt deliver it unto him by that the sun goeth down." Exo 22:25-26.
Usury is interest charges. And God said the Jews were not supposed to charge their own people for a loan. However, there is a verse that says you could charge usury on those who were not Jews in Deu 23:20, "Unto a stranger thou mayest lend upon usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thine hand to in the land whither thou goest to possess it."
God is not for a centralized bank owned by the state. His plan was for men who had money to help lend to those who didn't, so they could work and pay back the person who lent to them.
6. Centralization of communication and transport in the hands of the state.
In the Bible we find both Jews and Christians at time living under the authority of foreign governments. For example the Jews went into captivity to Babylon, while the early Christians lived under the rule of the Roman Empire. Today Christians live in a time in which they are found in many different nations, and many different laws are found in each nation. Sometimes nations own the transportation and communication companies in the countries in which they live. Is this good or bad, and does the Bible say anything about this?
Well, Marx here wanted the government to own the transportation and communication industries so that a person could not be free to travel or speak out on his own. This is very much against the Bible, for we read that Christians should, "...Go...into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. (Mark 16:15)" How is this possible if the government controls the means of transportation and the means of communication? It is only possible if the government gives people FREEDOM to use those means. Do communist countries usually do that? Let's look at China as an example. In that country, the internet is censored, and people very often kept from traveling to other countries without a good reason.
7. Extension of factories...owned by the state...cultivation of waste-lands...according to a common plan.
This does away with the private sector, and the rights of people to build and own their own businesses and factories. This is a very anti-capitalist statement.
What does the Bible say about this? Is the Bible in favor of captialism? Let's see. in 1 Cor. 3:8, we clearly see the following, "Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour." This verse says that a man should receive based upon how much he works! That's a very capitalistic verse!
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 also commands, "And that ye study to be quite, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
The Apostle Paul who wrote this was a "tent maker" who owned his own business! He believed in working hard and enjoying what you made. He even said in 2 Thessalonians 3:10, "For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat." Here's a verse saying a person must work, or else he shouldn't eat."
To give all business and factories to the governement is not only wrong but anti-biblical, for in the Bible man is instructed to work, and to "reap what he sows." (Galatians 6:7). He is also allowed to reap bountifully (2 Cor. 9:6) according to how much he sows. In other words, the harder you work, the more you are entitled to!
8. Equal liability of all labor and establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
Here the government mandates all to work for the government and to help produce food for armies. Is this right? Sounds like forced labour, doesn't it? Sounds like slavery!
In the Bible, as we've seen, God allows private property, and allows people to reap what they sow. It also commands those who own fields to give to the poor what's left after the harvest. Check out this verse in Levi. 19:9-10, "And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest. And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the LORD your God."
The main excuse for communism is that it does away with the poor. But, God gave allowance for the poor and commanded those with crops to set aside a portion for the poor to glean.
God also allows people to give alms to the poor. That means God has set up a system to take care of the poor, and it's not through forced labor of all people doing the same thing and eating the same thing!
9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual aboliton of the distinction between town and country, by a more equitable distribution of the population over the country.
This is forced living conditions to abolish city and country, and to redistribute the populace upon the face of the earth. This also does away with the freedom of choice of where you wish to live.
In the Bible, God gave certain parcels of land to certain people. Abraham received land that was then given to his children as an "inheritance." And in the Bible we are told about people buying and selling land. In Communism, this is done away with, and people are moved in next to each other.
Is there a verse in the Bible about this? You bet there is. In Isaiah 5:8 we read, "Woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth!"
God places a woe on those who wish to build house to house and field to field. In other words, he's against "distribution of the populace" to "abolish the distinction between town and country."
10. Free education...in public schools...combination of education with industrial production.
Last but not least is we come to governmental education of the masses. Is this Biblical? Is it right to send your children to the state and let them teach them?
In the Bible, God wants the parents to educate their children. For in the word of God, the Jews were told to teach their own children in the ways of God:
Deu 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
Deu 6:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
In the New Testament, we read of a command in which:
Titus 2:1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
Titus 2:2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
Titus 2:4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
Titus 2:5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
In the New Testament, the older Christians are to teach the younger Christians. How can this be done when a person's children are sent to the state?
Secular education always leads to secularism. Or like one preacher once said, "You can't send your children off to a Philistine school and not expect them to come back with Egyptian ways!"
SUMMARY
If Communism were indeed CHRISTIAN and centered upon CHRIST JESUS, it might well be a good political system. However, as Marx has set it up, it omits Jesus completely, and more than often is very much against the word of God, even though those who believe in it claim it is rooted in the Bible.
It further enslaves people to the state. This is a very dangerous system, especially when the leader of the state is not a Christian and is against God. And if you know your Bible, you know that very soon, the anti-Christ will take over the world and rule and reign for 7 years. What system do you think he would love to see in place when he comes? COMMUNISM!

THE CROSSROADS

I've been in the Gospel ministry now for seventeen years. That's enough time to have seen a few things. And boy do I have some stories to tell!
Surely, the Bible is true when it says we are in a day and age of APOSTASY! And I can readily attest to that fact, as I have seen it up close and personal. It's not some distant thing which we fear may someday enter into our Independent Baptist churches, rather it is already there, and it has gained a strong foothold!
Apostasy never enters with trumpet blow, pomp, and circumstance. It always enters in quietly and over time. It's like the frog in the pot syndrome. You can throw a frog in boiling water, and it will immediately jump out! But you put him in luke warm water and slowly bring it to a boil, he'll happily swim around in circles until he dies.
So it is with Apostasy. If you introduce it all at once, people will immediately reject it, becoming boiling mad. But if you allow it to enter in slowly, it will eventually gain a following as it sneaks into the pews, and eventually into the pulpits.
As I travel and preach throughout the land, I always hope to find others like myself who desipe apostasy as much as I do and stand against it. But instead of finding brothers and sisters who hate apostasy and seek to route it out, I'm finding many churches, pastors, and christians who love it and openly embrace it! Instead of loving the truth, they are actively hostile towards it, and don't want anyone to "rock the boat" in preaching against their anti-biblical apostate doctrines. They are happy in their deception and don't want to know they are deceived. They enjoy playing religion instead of practicing righteousness.
Sadly, I sometimes feel I've come to the point in my Christian life, where I've almost preached myself out of the ministry. Why? Because so many Christians have changed what they used to believe and preach, and have compromised in order to get along with the world. Because of this, I can no longer fellowship with them, and/or get along with them. It just vexes my spirit to be around them and hear them preaching man's doctrines instead of God's, and doing things man's way instead of God's way.
When they catch wind of my downtrodden spirit and realize I'm no compromiser, it usually makes them angry! They immediately label me a "legalist" or a "Pharisee" for not going along with them in their error, and I'm not only ostrasized, but preached against in their groups and circles. This doesn't bother me though, because I've learned over the years that when someone calls you a "Legalist" it is because they themselves are "Liberals!" And when someone says you are a "Pharisee," it is because they themselves have become "Apostates!"
Sometimes I feel like I'm in the middle of a raging river. The current is trying to push me down stream, but I find a nice big rock (i.e. My Lord Jesus Christ), and I stand on it. It keeps me dry and keeps me from going downstream. But as I look around me, there are countless others who claim to be Christians who are rapidly zooming past me as they head downstream. As they pass, I yell, "Stop! That's the wrong way! There's a water fall down there! You're headed the wrong way!"
But, Instead of grabbing my outstretched hand and getting up on the Rock with me, they only respond, "Thanks anyway, I'm having too much fun! This is a blast! Why do I need to STAND when I can RIDE!"
They are riding alright. They are riding down the path to destruction. Yet I'm the "fuddy duddy" for not going with them. At least I'm not all wet like they are. And at least I've got a firm foundation!
Something I've learned as I've watched other pastors, missionaries, and evangelists is that there comes a time in a man's life in his ministry when he reaches what I like to call "THE CROSSROADS." He comes to a time when he is faced with a huge decision: JUST GIVE UP AND GO WITH THE CROWD AND SET ASIDE HIS CONVICTIONS IN ORDER TO GET ALONG WITH OTHERS AND GAIN FAME AND PRESTIGE or STAND TALL AND BREAK FELLOWSHIP WITH OTHERS TO STAND FOR WHAT HE TRULY BELIEVES IN AND SERVE GOD WITH A PURE CONSCIENCE.
Time and again I've seen preachers come to this "Y" in the road and have to make a decision. Very few have chosen the path of suffering, ridicule, and being ostracized by others for standing for what they know is right. It's always been the majority that's chosen the easy path of apostasy, which leads to prosperity, popularity, and prestige.
Instead of following the Lord Jesus Christ, they choose to follow men, movements, and methods. And instead of standing on the foundation of truth, they choose compromise as they seek fame and fortune.
This is why I've called my ministry TRUTH STANDS ALONE MINISTRIES. As I read my Bible and preach the great truths therein, I find I'm not at all popular, but I don't care. All I want to do is STAND. Nothing more.
The more I preach against sin, the more I'm preached against. The more books I write about sound bible truth, the more people write against me. The more I stand for a pure Spanish Bible, the right Plan of Salvation, and God's way of living a Holy and Spirit-filled Life, the more people ridicule me and cry against me.
I think I've figured it out. It's because I provoke them to thought, and make them think that they just might be wrong!
For example, on the subject of SALVATION, I've always been against the anti-biblical gospel of "ASK JESUS INTO YOUR HEART!" Yet I've met a lot of men in the ministry who preach this everywhere they go. Why? It's not in the Bible! In the Bible salvation is through BLOOD ATONEMENT, and to be saved you must TRUST THE BLOOD. Why don't men preach this anymore? They used to, and I have many quotes, tapes, and other media to prove it. But now they are guilty of preaching "another gospel" just to get along with others who do the same.
And what about the SCRIPTURES? There are many in English who used to be KING JAMES ONLY who have changed to modern perversions just to get along with others, and to build their churches quicker. But why leave off the right Bible for modern versions which take out whole verses?
And when it comes to the Spanish Bible, many use versions riddled with problems like the 1865, 1909, 1960, and even the modernistic "stop-gap" translation known as the Gomez. If people would just study, they would see the Valera 1602 Purified is the best Spanish Bible. Sadly, they'd rather follow what Bro. So and So says about which version is right, rather than study the issue out for themselves. They are followers of men instead of followers of facts.
And what about "SANTIFICATION?" That is to say, what about HOLY LIVING to please God? Very few who claim to be Christians nowadays desire to live a holy life. They enjoy the things of the world, and don't want anyone to preach against their sin. They just can't take it! Thus, good, hard preaching against SIN is hard to find in our pulpits.
How about you? Are you at the CROSSROADS? If so, why not choose the path of righteousness. I must warn you though. It's a lonely road.
Or have you already gone down the path of apostasy? It's not too late to turn around and go back. Thank God the Lord always gives us a chance to repent and get right. As long as you are still breathing, there's still an opportunity to get right with God! It might not be popular to preach the truth, and you might lose fellowship with others for it. But don't quit! This whole thing is almost over, and if you STAND you will be rewarded for it! Isn't what God thinks about you more important than what men think about you?
For an example of the apostasy in our ranks, why not read my book: "Why I'm More than Just a Fundamentalist." It can be found at:

LETTER FROM AN ANGRY PREACHER

It's sad when a person who claims to be a Christian attacks you personally. Even sadder when he doesn't even have his facts straight. But it's probably most sad when he does so for no other reason at all than to just be plum mean!
Today I received a letter in the mail from a preacher I once respected. In his letter, he not only was as vicious as he could be, but he also was very illogical in his response. This was curious, as the man claims to be of a very high I.Q. (He's a Doctor).
In the letter, the man responds to my final letter to him. (In other letters to me he calls me a lot of names. Why? Because someone lied about me and he choose to believe them instead of asking me about it and finding out if their accusations were true. Sadly, this is Standard Operating Prodecure in these last days of apostasy, and I've seen a lot of good men have their good names slandered by this practice. And, now I'm one of them.)
In my last letter to the man, I only wrote one line, a quote from the late great George Mueller towards those who lied about him and tried to slander his good name: "I am content to wait until the judgment seat of Christ for God to clear my character."
I thought that would be the end of the matter. Boy was I wrong!
What this man wrote in return was not only un-christian and hateful, but it also was completely illogical!
His response to my quote of George Mueller was: "No man can condemn your character - You Fool! You mean your reputation. Can't get anything straight, can you???"
I had to read that over and over to even try to understand it. I couldn't make heads or tails of it, so I went to the 1828 Webster's dictionary to see if there really is a difference between one's "reputation" and one's "character." What I found was they both mean the same thing! So he was angrily arguing a point that had nothing to do with anything, and making me out to be a FOOL for not knowing the difference! (Interestingly enough, that seems to be what he preaches against most in his own ministry!)
According to Websters, I found:
Definition of REPUTATION:
1. Good name; the credit, honor or CHARACTER which is derived from a favorable public opinion or esteem...
2. CHARACTER by report; in a good or bad sense; as a man has the reputation of being rich or poor, or of being a thief.
Definition of CHARACTER:
The peculiar qualitites, impressed by nature or habit on a person, which distinguish him from others; these constitute real character...or REPUTATION.
With these definitions, it makes it sound like your character and your reputation are one and the same.
With that in mind, what did this guy mean? I think he just wanted to call me a name and make me feel stupid, while trying to make himself look smart as he gets the final word.
That's fine. I'm okay with that. I'm not even going to respond. I have nothing to say except what I've already said. And I really do look forward to standing before God at the Judgment Seat of Christ and letting him judge.
I just wish men in the ministry would stop attacking in their own words and in the flesh, but would rather instruct meekly with the scriptures. That'd be much better, and wouldn't leave people like me wondering what they are trying to say!
Hey, at least he made me go stick my nose in the dictionary and I got to learn something from all this!

MODERN NEWS IS NOT REALLY NEWS!

I'm very put out with the modern "news" we get today from sources such as magazines, newspapers, television, radio, and more. The media must really think the American people are all a bunch of dopes! For we really don't get much real news. Instead, we get a lot of GOSSIP, OPINION, EDITORIALS, and FEEL GOOD STORIES.
If you watch CNN, CNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, etc. You'll not get much news that matters. But you will get a lot of gossip! I'm so very sick of Michael Jackson, Lindsay Lohan, Blago, and others. Why not give me some real news about things that are really important?
If it's not gossip about some hollywood starlet, then the news is giving us the latest "crises" and the newest "war on whatever" and the most horrible weather disaster to date. My grandpa used to say, "All cable news is for is to scare old people!" And I'm here to tell you that's exactly what it does! It's almost like it's a propaganda outlet to keep people in constant state of FEAR!
For real news, I, like probably most of America, turn to the Internet. But even there I wonder how much I can believe. At least there are some sites that do their homework, and actually to report well documented and first hand accounts.
I like Worldnetdaily (found at: http://www.wnd.com/).
The Drudge Report is also quite informative (Found at: http://drudgereport.com/)
Sometimes I look at Newsmax (Site is: http://www.newsmax.com/)
I also look up Alex Jones sometimes when I want to get depressed and look at how the gobal world governement is taking away my rights and laying out the red carpet for the anti-christ in his soon coming kindgom. (That site is: http://www.infowars.com/).
Then there is glen beck's website, which is quite interesting at: http://www.glennbeck.com/
But most of the time, I just stay away for the news all together. It's just SOOOOOO depressing.
The saddest thing to me is the "TALK SHOW" like theme of most video news shows. They always have two guests with opposing views and then let them yell at each other. How is that news?
And then they'll call on an "expert" and ask them things like, "What do you think about this?" WHO CARES WHAT THEIR OPINION IS?!?! I've always said, "Opinions are like armpits! Everyone has two, and they all STINK!"
I'm not interested in the opinion of some guy or gal I don't know and what they think about something, or what they think will happen. HOW IS THAT NEWS???????
It's just frustrating in our day and age in an America that's been "dummed down" to get the real scoop. People are no longer studious, nor do they do their homework. The real stories and the most important ones are intentionally overlooked, and we are stuck with days on end of some crazy silver-colored balloon flying through the air!
Would to God the real news was broadcasted every night like the old days, and we might be told what's really happening in our country, and the rest of the world, whether that be via internet, T.V. or radio. And would to God it would be broadcast without any kind of "Slant" or "Spin."
I'm not a liberal or a conservative. I'm a CHRISTIAN who just wants to know the truth, and I've learned I cannot get it from any news organizations, but only from the Bible.
Even so, Come Lord Jesus!

THE NEBULOUS "THEY"

I'm pretty sure my Dad's favorite word was "Nebulous." He would always say that when someone would talk around the point, they were being nebulous."
When I'd write my prayer letters to send to churches, and I used the words "some," and "many," he'd always say, "Those terms are 'nebulous,' and non-descriptive. You shouldn't use them. You need to be specific!"
I hated that, but after a while, I found myself agreeing with him. And I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM WITH THE WORLD TODAY IS PEOPLE ARE NOT SPECIFIC ENOUGH!
Everyone seems to talk around the point instead of getting to the point. They say a lot of words, but don't really say much with their words.
My Dad always said, "There is simply no substitute for clear and effective communication!"
I've always liked that. It's just so true! I truly believe there is no problem that cannot be fixed by sitting down and talking it out! That is, of course, if reasonable people are willing to have a courteous discussion. They might not agree, and can leave agreeing to disagree, but they should be willing to talk to each other reasonably!
With this in mind, I was watching the news the other day (My grandmother leaves it on all day long, listening to it.) On one of the programs, (which resembled a talk show instead of a real news show), they were questioning a doctor about different diseases and their causes. The guest continually kept saying things like, "Studies recently done show..." and "Recent lab results prove..." But never did he ever document or tell where those studies were done, and when.
He then used the "they card." By that, I mean he began saying things like, "Well, THEY say that diabetes is caused by..." and "In recent journals THEY claim cancer is caused by..."
For thirty minutes or more, this blow hard of a doctor answered all their questions like he knew what he was talking about. But never, not even once, did he ever tell us who the THEY was!
Yet we viewers were supposed to sit there and take all he said as the gospel truth, because he was a well known doctor, and he supposedly knew what he was talking about. We weren't even allowed to question him, because he knew "THEY" and what "THEY" said about it.
It's hard for me to believe a man like that! It's even harder to believe anything he says, because I don't know who the THEY is that he's quoting!
I call it "The Nebulous They Syndrome." Have you ever met anyone like that, who always keeps taking about the nebulous THEY, as though we are supposed to know who the THEY really is?
They say things like, "Well, you know what THEY say..." or "Don't do that or THEY will see you!"
Who are those THEY? When you find out, please let me know! I'd really like to know!
That's why when I'm talking to someone, and they bring up the nebulous "THEY," I like to stop them and say, "Wait a minute! Who's THEY?!"
Sometimes they get mad, but it's definitely worth having them stop and think about those nebulous whoevers that they are talking about.
My Dad always used to say, "Your pronouns don't have anacedents!" By that he meant if you are talking about a THEY, there should ALWAYS be a sentence or two back that should describe exactly who the THEY are. Sadly, so many people nowadays don't define who "THEY" are. This leads to so much confusion.
I say, "NO MORE TO THE NEBULOUS THEY!"

POLITICAL WORDS

POLITICAL WORDS SEEM TO PAINT A PICTURE OF REALITY!
A wise man once said that the word “Politics” is a good way to describe what governmental business really is. “Poly” means “many,” and there are many politicians in our day and age. And, “tics” reminds us of “ticks” which are “blood suckers!” Need I say more?

Thinking of politics, and how the American people are being raped by their elected officials who pass laws the majority of the American people don’t want, or agree with, I thought about “political words,” and why they are what they are, and I couldn’t help but wonder where they come from. And, as I pondered those words and broke them up, I found some surprising things. I guess you could say in the words themselves were some interesting “subliminal messages” or at least some “thought provoking” ideas.

For example, there is the much hated word “tax.” Nobody likes taxes! That is of course nobody except politicians! They love them, because usually they don’t pay them. And if they do, they are the ones who get to decide where to spend them!

Let’s break the word “tax” up. Take the first letter, “t.” Why, that’s a cross! And we know what happens on crosses, don’t we? Someone suffers! The next two letters together spell “ax,” which reminds us, of course, of the big metal tool that’s used to cut something to pieces. Yep, “tax” is really a “positive” word, huh? NOPE! It conjures up rather negative thought patterns.

Then there is the word “Congress.” “Con” is Spanish for “with.” And “Gress?” Well, when I think of another word that ends in “gress,” all I can come up with is “transgress.” Interesting, or mere coincidence?

Breaking up the word “President,” we find “Press,” “I” and “Dent.” Well, our current president really has “impressed” the news media, as he receives their praise quite often. I guess you could also say he has “put a dent” in our personal freedoms, and really “pressed” our backs against the wall with this whole health care thing, by forcing it upon us without our consent.

Then there is the word “Washington.” The other day my grandmother had the news on, and one of those political types was giving a press conference in front of a big seal with the words, “White House Washington D.C.” His body blocked some of the words though, and the camera cut off the rest, and all I could read was “White Washing!” That about says it all!
Can you think of any other political words like those I've given? I'd like to hear 'em. Share 'em with me!

Political Correctness vs. Biblical Correctness?

I spent seven years of my life in Honduras as a Missionary. Much happened in America while I was away, and I must say it did not seem to me the same country as it was before. Much had changed "politically." And I soon learned that "politics" had dictated the norm instead of American tradition, the Bible, and the church.
One thing I found that I did not understand at first was the term "Political Correctness." Those words threw me for a loop! For I actually look at words and try to understand them. And those two words just don't seem to go together! They conjure up in the mind nothing more than POLITICS trying to dictate MORALS to man. Who in their right mind would want that? Politics in its very essence is oftentimes IMMORAL! Modern Politics is a system of "the means justifies the ends" and not a moral system of righteousness and righteous laws governing the masses.
God gave us the Bible to tell us how to live correctly. He also gave us the church to preach to others how we are to live a moral life. Politics doesn't like that and often has tried to trump the Bible, and/or throw it out as it gains power and substitutes POLITICS for PREACHING!
The separation of CHURCH AND STATE was not set up to keep the church out of state affairs, but to keep the STATE out of CHURCH affairs! It was always understood since the founding of our country that the governmental offices in our "Christian Nation" of The United States of America should be filled with CHRISTIANS! That is to say, MORAL MEN who governed according to the principles of GOD, and not to the principles of depravity and selfish GAIN.
But my how times have changed! Politicians of today care only about themselves, and not about others! They care about how to gain more power, not preserving the way of God.
WHY DO WE HAVE "POLITICAL CORRECTNESS?"
I blame the parents of the "baby boomers!" It's their fault for not teaching their children and raising them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. For this reason, the The 1960's brought about an underground "drug culture" and the doctrine of "free love" (another term that doesn't make much sense), which did away with purity and righteousness, replacing it with drugged up long haired hippies, nakedness, fornication, and adultery.
The "Moral Majority" and "Conservatism" in this once great nation quickly fell to the wayside in the ensuing generations. Public Schools and Secular Universities eventually finished off what morals young people did have, by getting them out from under the authority of their parents, and teaching them to keep an "open mind," to "find themselves," and shirk off their "fuddy duddy" parents and their outdated Victorian principles.
We now hear of the government playing God and desiring to take away the old morals from the bible, while inventing and defining their own morals.
"Political Correctness" has tried to dictate to us what is right and wrong. But by so doing, it has done away completely with God's desired society and his definition of right and wrong, and has plummeted our once MORAL society into grave IMMORALITY. Or, a time when the Government wanted to dictate how we should live, instead of following God and our conscience.
A BRIEF WORD BEFORE WE START
I know what I'm about to write will make many of you very mad! This is why I'm going to make sure to show the difference between what God said about it in the Bible, and what Christians used to believe, and what is being taught and propagated today. I'm not going to tell you if I agree or disagree with what I write here. I'm only going to throw it out there, and provoke you to thought. This is a "history lesson" if you will, designed to ask you one great question: "Did God get it right in the Bible, or have Politicians with their "political correctness" gotten it right for us?"
As you read this and view God's way verses the way of "Political Correctness" I want to you think about whether or not God was right or wrong. For if God was right, we are wrong. But if God was wrong, then we are right!
I further want to make sure that what I'm writing here is not "hate speech." I'm not saying you have to believe what's written here. Nor am I attacking anyone in anyway. I'm just pointing out what Christians used to believe, because they found it in the Bible, and what they believe today, which is usually what they've been taught by the "political correctness doctrine."
You are free to believe what you choose, and practice whatever you wish. I hope you do! I just hope you see that things weren't always the way they were now. And once again, I'm not dogmatically saying I'm on one side or another. I'm just showing how it was, and how it is now.
SLAVERY
In the Old Days, that is "way back when," there was slavery in America. During those times of slavery, Christians claimed the Bible not only allowed, but defended such a system. They had bible verses like Eph. 6:5-9, Col. 3:22, Titus 2:9, and more, which exhorted slaves to obey their masters.
Probably the greatest verses in the whole Bible that defend slavery are found in 1 Tim. 6:1-5:
1 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed. 2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort. 3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; 4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, 5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
Southerners used these verses to prove the North was not only unjust, but against God in trying to do away with slavery. In their view, The North's "Political Correctness" was not only against the constitution, which allowed slavery at the time, but against GOD, who set up the system, and even commanded slaves to be in obedience to their masters.
"Political Correctness" sought to undermine God's system in the minds of the Southerners and they were willing to fight and even die for what they believed in. And they did.
Where they right? I'll leave that for you to decide. The fact is that they felt they were following God, and the government was trying to stamp out their God-given right to own slaves.
WOMEN'S LIBERATION
In the Bible, we are told God made male and female, and that each one had it's place and it's responsibilities. Men were to be the protectors and providers, and women were to be the helpers and homemakers. The Bible says that women were to be subservient to their husbands, and submissive to them. Countless verses in the Bible commands this, such as: Ephesians 5:22 and Col. 3:18.
In marriage, the simplest way to explain it biblically, is the man is supposed to sacrifice for his wife, while his spouse is to supposed to submit to his authority, for this is a great type of Christ and the Church (see Eph. 5 for more details).
The world hasn't always liked this idea, and in the 1800's we begin to see the rising of the women's liberation movement, and the desire for women to vote, and work, and make a living on their own without a man.
Eventually, we see this giving way to the modern women's lib movement known as "feminism" (or femi-nazi's, depending on who you talk to), in which women are exalted above men, and told they are oppressed and therefore need to stand up for themselves. Many laws have been placed on the books in favor of women making it easy for them to claim "discrimination" because of their gender.
"Political Correctness" states that God's way in the Bible is not good, and it's "sexist" for women to follow the role in which God created them for. But which one is truly better? Home making, and motherhood, in which a woman can be truly happy raising her children, or feminism and a woman competing against a man, and oftentimes hating him? I'll let you decide that one for yourself.
RACIAL TENSION
This one will probably really make some folks mad. So I'll again mention that I'm for or against what's written here. I'm not RACIST! I don't believe one race is better than another! I'm only stating here what the Bible says, what Christians over the centuries have once believed, and then what modern "political correctness" today is teaching.
In the Bible, we read of a "curse" coming upon Canaan, the son of Ham, the son of Noah in Genesis 9:25-27. In those verses we read of Canaan's servantiship, or "slavery" to his older brother Japheth, and how Japheth would dwell in the tents of his younger brother Shem.

Without going into the whole history of the human race, let me briefly state the belief of most Christians about this passage. Japheth is the white man or the caucasian. Shem is the father of the mongloids or the asiatics, and also the Indian peoples of the world. And Ham is the progenitor of the black race, or the African. More verses in the Bible have been and can be used to prove this, as the migration of the ancestors of these three brothers of Noah show each brother went his separate way: Japeth to Europe, Shem to Asia and The Americas, and Ham to Africa.
As time went on, we see the white man, Japheth traveling to America, and actually populating that continent, where the Indians (shemites) lived in tents. We further see Japheth buying and using black slaves for labor for several hundred years thereafter. Was this the prophecy of Noah fulfilled? You can decide that for yourself. I'm only telling you what Christians of days gone by believed and taught.
This brings us to the whole slavery thing. The black people--descendents of Ham and his son Canaan--were indeed slaves just like the Bible says to the Japhethite white man. That is until they were freed under the reign of President Lincoln. But they suffered greatly even after their slavery, and up until the 1960's they were treated often as second rate citizens. Could that be because of the "curse?" I don't know, but I've personally met several black preachers alive today that tell me they believe it to be so.
With this in mind, we come to the time of Martin Luther King, and the whole Civil Rights Movement, in which blacks wanted only their rights. But, under the constitution of the United States of America, they were equals and already had equal rights with Americans! They just weren't treated as such.
So, "Political Correctness" entered in and began to push towards "social justice" in which people of a certain skin color were judged differently by the law then everyone else, because they "deserved" it. Eventually "affirmative action" laws were introduced by the governement that forced companies and businesses to hire people based on their SKIN COLOR rather than on their ABILITIES.
Has this made things better or worse? I'll let you decide. As I write this, in the news we hear of the Department of Justice dropping a case against RACIST BLACK PANTHERS who want to KILL WHITE BABIES, while at the same time filing a lawsuit against the state of ARIZONA, claiming the law they have enacted to protect thier borders and their own people is guilty of RACIAL PROFILING.
Instead of doing away with RACISM, it appears "Political Correctness" has produced more racism then ever, and is busy enacting even newer laws that help one race against another. Is this really "Politically Correct?" Shouldn't the law protect all, no matter what the color of one's skin is? Aren't we all supposed to be EQUAL under the law? I'm sure you can decide that for yourself.
HOMOSEXUALITY
In the Bible, God is against Homosexuality. God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve and Not Eve and Ethel.
Christians have always been against the act of homosexuality, and have used the Bible to prove it is wrong. They have quoted such verses as Levi. 20:13 and Rom. 1:26-32 to prove that homosexuality is not only unhealthy, defiling, and hurtful, but it also against nature.
They have even taken others to Leviticus 18:22-30, to show God's hatred towards the sexual acts of sodomy and beastiality:
22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. 23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion. 24 Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: 25 And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants. 26 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you: 27 (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;) 28 That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you. 29 For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people. 30 Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.
But now we hear from "Politically correct sources" that homosexuality is a "right" protected by the government. We even hear of laws being passed to give homosexuals the right to marry, something God is very much against.
I'm not condoning or attacking homosexuals. I'm simply stating the fact that in the Bible God is against the ACT OF HOMOSEXUALITY, while our modern government is in favor of homosexual's rights to do as they please. It is now "Politically Incorrect" to say anything against "gays" or "lesbians."
(That's why I've been very careful in this article not to attack the individuals, rather to show that in the Bible, God is against the actual sexual "sin act" itself.)
If a person is a homosexual and an American, doesn't that mean he is already equal to everyone else under the constitution? Why then should they be granted "special rights?
I'll let you decide if you think that is "correct."
Note: "Political Correctness" of today is never about EQUAL RIGHTS, but about "special rights" to people who most often don't have those right granted to them in the Bible. It's almost as if the Devil is behind the push to grant special rights to a certain group just because God didn't give them any. Think about that for a while! :)
ANIMAL RIGHTS AND TREE RIGHTS?
In the Bible we are told the same God who made man also made the animals and all the foliage on the earth. We further read that those animals and this world are to be ruled by man, for in Genesis 1:26-29 we read the following:
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
In the Bible, man is to have "dominion" over all the animals and all the fruit of the earth. It is to food for him, and to be used as he sees fit.
But how is this viewed today by those who advocate "Political Correctness." They utterly reject it. With slogans like "Save the Whales" and "Save the Owls," modern day "do gooders" and "tree huggers" put more emphasis on saving plants and animals then they do in caring about people!
This is why there are "Animal Police" which can put you in jail for not feeding your dog enough food, or Foliage Officers, which can put you in jail for cutting a limb off of a tree and using it for firewood.
Fines, Fees, and even jail time can be dished out to people in many states for burning logs in their chimneys or even fishing with nets for food to eat.
"Save the Planet" has become the universal cry in most countries world-wide, instead of the Biblical shout of, "You must be saved!"
The Bible says the earth won't last much longer. Jesus is coming back and boy is he mad! After he rules and reigns for 1000 years, in which by the way, he'll make the earth to bloom and flourish, the Bible teaches he is going to destory the earth and make a new heaven and a new earth! That's why Christians aren't too attached to this one!
But in this day and age of "Green," it's very "politically incorrect" to not want to change your habits and update your lifestyle to be "earth friendly."
SUMMARY
"Political Correctness" is never about what's CORRECT, rather it's about POLITICAL POWER. It's using a group, and trying to grant it special rights so that members of that group will willingly stand behind those in power and vote for them to continue their agenda. Which, I must add, is almost always against God and the Bible.
You may not agree with the Bible. That's fine. But can you at least admit the direction the world is going in is very much against the way Christians have believed for thousands of years. And can you answer this question: "Is that a good thing?"
Further, can you answer this question: is POLITICS always correct?
I'm a Christian, and I want to be on the side of Correctness, not on the side of POLITICS. But what's correct now seems very fuzzy in the eyes of many people. Many Christians nowdays are against some of the very things I've written about here that older Christians were very much in favor for and preached as truth. They have chosen the way of POLITICS instead of the way of PERSECUTION. For the Bible teaches that Christians should go against the world, and follow only the Bible. And it promises that if they do so, THEY WILL BE PERSECUTED!
After reading this article, my only hope is that you rethink everything you know and look only to the word of God for your "correctness."
Am I condoning slavery? NO! I look at it this way, I would never want to be a slave, so I would never own a slave myself!
Am I putting down women? NOPE! I'm just saying that if they want to be happy, they should follow God's plan in their life.
Am I bashing gays and lesbians? NOPE! I'm just showing some verses on what God says about their sexuality and sex acts, and asking them to rethink their lifestyles.
Am I saying we should kill all the whales and burn down all the forests? A THOUSAND TIMES NO! I'm just stating that we should care more about our fellow man than we do nature!
Are you "politically correct?" If so, why?
Are you "biblically correct?" If so, why?
